We are so grateful for your uplifting generosity and your involvement toward a peaceful society. We cannot commit to improving survivor’s lives without your support. Please join Global Survivors for Peace to give hope to the most vulnerable among us: survivors of genocides and other atrocities.

Although our people’s lives were cut short, their legacy lives on in the survivors, their stories and their commitment to live a dignified life. The fortitude of survivors is something to applaud and we must support them on their journey. We are confident in God’s providence to watch over this organization and talk to generous hearts to assist many suffering survivors. By supporting these projects, you are empowering survivors to live and commit to contributing to a lasting peace; but it is something they cannot do alone.

As global citizens, we have to ability and responsibility to bring light into the darkest hearts, to bring happiness to people who greatly wounded; it is our call from God. Let us push beyond our comfortable zone to share and lift our brothers and sisters whose lives were destroyed by genocide. Send a smile to survivors and plant seeds of peace in wounded and healing hearts.

Programs

Global Survivors for Peace has many programs that you can support financially:
  • Memorial Visits: Arrange a visit for your group or sponsor high school/college students to visit memorial sites in Rwanda.
  • Support Commemoration Efforts: Contributions to this program help to alleviate costs that survivors bear during the commemoration period. Supporting survivors during commemoration allows them to honor their beloved and bury them with dignity.
  • Support Conferences on Genocide: This program provides resources for conferences on genocides bringing experts on the subject to educate millions of people on this important topic.
  • Support Survivors: Donating to this fund helps provide services to survivors in greatest need of health care, shelter, and education. Your support of survivors allows us to show love and caring for the most vulnerable.
  • Sponsor a Child: This program provides basic needs and allows a child to study without fear and undue stress.
  • Sponsor an Elder: Supporting this program provides for elders whom were left alone and in economic need after losing their loved ones. Help us give them the means to continue their lives in dignity.
  • Support Classrooms: This program ensures that primary and secondary students in Rwanda have enough rooms and supplies, and can benefit from their teachers’ guidance for a full day.
  • Build Schools: This program aims to build more primary and secondary schools in Rwanda so that classrooms are not crowded.
  • Sponsor Teachers: This program sponsors training for teachers in Rwanda, where the student-to-teacher ratio is very high. Individual attention is necessary for effective education in a country where a genocide had destroyed many lives.
  • Support Single Women: This program helps survivors of genocide start projects so they can live with dignity and be self-reliant.
  • Safe Water: This program builds wells so that people in Rwanda can access drinkable water.
  • Medical Support: Supporting this program pays medical bills for those survivors who don’t have the means to cover the costs and whose support was destroyed by the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
  • Scholarship Program: Supporting this program provides educational funds to survivors of genocides and other atrocities in USA and in Rwanda who struggle to rebuild their lives without the support of their beloved.
  • Youth Leadership Programs: These programs, the Peacebuilders Program and Service Leadership Program, teach skills to high school students so that they are ready to lead their communities as they enter college and beyond.
